Welcome to our inaugural weekly update. It’s been an eventful week, and I’m glad to have a place to share the highlights of what’s been happening here at the shop.
The Lost & Found
We’re officially moving our lost-and-found online. If you’ve misplaced something and think you might have left it at Chick & Roll, please check here or feel free to call us anytime.
The Item: A pair of black Skullcandy earbuds.
The Story: These were found earlier this week, left on the front counter of our store. They are safe and sound here; if you think they might be yours, stop by or give us a call to describe the case to me or one of our staff, and we’ll get them back to you.
A Heartfelt Thanks
I also wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in the NJ Monthly survey to vote for us. Many of you actually stopped by in person this week to let me know you did, and I was so touched and grateful.
One customer even came in just to verify that the text she received had actually come from me before going online to vote! I must admit, before I sent that text, I worried I might be imposing on my customers by asking for a vote. I was so encouraged by all of you rallying to support our store—it truly lifted my spirits for the entire week.
Congrats to the Tenafly High School Seniors
If you happened to stop by the store this Friday afternoon, you might have seen me looking a bit caught off guard! We were suddenly visited by a sea of Tenafly High School students in face paint for the annual Olympiad. It was a wonderful, high-energy moment for the shop, and seeing the students so excited for their school event was a great reminder of why we enjoy being located right here in the center of town. To the students: thank you for bringing that spirit into the store, and a huge congratulations to the Senior Class on your victory!
Smith Elementary School Read-A-Thon
The Smith Elementary School Read-A-Thon officially kicked off this past Monday, March 2nd, and will run through next Friday, March 13th. This event is a fantastic way to get students excited about reading while giving friends and family the chance to cheer them on. Chick & Roll is proud to be a sponsor of the event, and we would like to wish every student: Happy Reading!
